The photos below show the two pumpkin jack-o-lanterns that I carved and placed on lamp-posts in front of the lodge. Traffic on the highway is very slow these days, yet two hitch-hikers were out front for a while today. Hitch-hikers are rare here even in the height of summer. Dark at 6 p.m. now until about 8 a.m.
